Prison Rape Elimination Act
The Prison Rape Elimination Act (PREA) was passed unanimously by both parties in Congress in 2003. Its purpose is to provide for the analysis of the incidence and effects of prison rape in federal, state, and local institutions and to provide information, resources, recommendations and funding to protect individuals from prison rape.
In February 2015, Community Restoration Centers of Stark County, Inc. became PREA accredited. It is our policy that all clients reside and participate in safe facilities and programs free from sexual harassment and sexual abuse.
CRC, Inc. has a zero tolerance policy regarding any form of harassment and or abuse towards our clients and staff. Clients have the right to report any sexual misconduct directly to staff, law enforcement, or third party via a friend or family member.
